Post-Secondary Disability Services of the Nova Scotia Department of Education provides funding and grants for disability related goods and/or services that students with disabilities receive while attending post secondary institutions.
INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES December 3 2009
The United Nations has designated December 3rd each year as the "International Day of Persons with Disabilities". This observance started with the first International Day of Persons with Disabilities in 1992. The day is a chance to celebrate and acknowledge the experiences and capabilities of persons with disabilities in every day life. The theme for 2009 is “Making the Millennium Development Goals Inclusive: Empowerment of persons with disabilities and their communities around the world”
